103rd Church
Anniversary Video |
Welcome!
Zion Travelers is a church with a rich one hundred and two year history and heritage. We are a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ who are striving to be continually transformed into the image and likeness of Christ. Our desire is to reach a lost world for Christ and making a difference in the lives of our members and the community. We are a church whom the Lord is presently preparing for greater service, in teaching and ministering the Word through our leaders and laity. He is empowering and equipping us for more authoritatively sharing the gospel message and making disciples for Christ. A church actively seeking to nurture and nourish a true hunger and thirst to learn and live in obedience to God’s Word and its principles. We involved in outreach ministry, particularly to the homeless.
It is my goal as Pastor of Zion through church administration to lead every ministry into finding and defining its purpose in evangelism. It is the general consensus of most writers that evangelism is the biblically mandated, and is the first and primary responsibility of every church. Every other ministry, including, worship, ministry/social ministry, fellowship, and discipleship, must be subordinate and subservient to evangelism. Further, everything that the church does should tie into and facilitate the accomplishing the church vision, purpose, and goals.
Elder Elijah Weatherspoon, Pastor
